CAMPBELLSVILLE EVENTS FOR FEBRUARY, 2012
FEBRUARY 3, FRIDAY: The Shrader
& Boshers Band will be pickin’ some fine bluegrass music
at the Stop & Chat beginning at 6:00 p.m.
FEBRUARY 5, SUNDAY: The Campbellsville Area Association will meet at 3:00 p.m. at
Memorial Hall of Campbellsville United Methodist Church. A follow-up
meeting will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 9, at the
Campbellsville Library. You are invited to attend one or both meetings.
FEBRUARY 10, FRIDAY: The Baked Possum Band is back again playing country and pop
oldies for your listen-ing pleasure beginning at
6:00 p.m. at the Stop & Chat.
FEBRUARY 17, FRIDAY: Girl Scout Troop 1781 will be selling cookies at the Stop &
Chat from 5:30 p.m. until….
FEBRUARY 17, FRIDAY: Rock-A-Ditty will be performing country and oldies at
6:00 p.m. at the Stop & Chat.
FEBRUARY 18, SATURDAY: Girl Scout Troops 1412
& 1781 will be selling
cookies at the Stop & Chat from 9:00 a.m. until…. Stop by, say “hi,”
and pick up a few boxes of these delicious treats. The girls will
appreciate it.
FEBRUARY 24, FRIDAY: Marvin Morrow
from Cypress Inn, Tennessee,
will sing southern and bluegrass gospel music at the Stop & Chat
beginning about 6:00 p.m. He has been nominated by gospel radio DJ’s for
both Song-writer and Single of the Year and has received awards for
Singles, Songwriter, Video, TV Host, and Male Vocalist. Check him out at

This is also Ruth Dunavant’s
Birthday AND David got Marvin to come sing and invites all to come
listen, celebrate, and wish his mom a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

here, you can see the Campbellsville spring where, more than 200 years ago,
Crockett Campbell's dogs treed a bear. Never heard whether Mr.
Campbell killed the bear, but assume he did since we've never seen it
around here. Come to think of it, we've never seen Mr. Campbell or
his dogs either!
